How to add system tray control buttons for winamp?

If you are looking for a plug in which will control the play list of winamp form the system tray of windows, then, you are at right place.

To do this you don’t have to download any third party plug ins, winamp comes with an inbuilt plug in called ‘Nullsoft Tray Control V2.0’. You simply need to have configured this.

To Configure…

  1. Open ‘Winamp Preferences’ window, to open this click on ‘ Options -> Preferences..’ or use Shot cut key Ctrl+p

2. In Winamp Preferences window, click on General Purpose node under Plug-Ins node

3. In right pane double click Nullsoft Tray Control V2.0 [gen_tray.dll] plug in

4. . Check the Enable NullSoft Tray Control Check box, to enable system try control buttons.
You can select your desire options form the given list.

5. Clicking on Close button will enable system tray icon, you can control the play list by clicking the icon in system tray

hi raju
This article was narrated for Nullsoft Tray Control V2.0, you tried this on V1.0 and you probably did not see the option of 'Enable Null Soft Tray contol' option. but you can still achieve what this article told about, using V1.0. you just play with the options available for V1.0
